The Management TeamDr. Yaron Menczel:Dr. Yaron Menczel is a co-founder of Memphis Technologies and heads the Computer Science area. Prior to founding Memphis Technologies, Dr. Menczel served as the C.T.O of VCON Telecommunications where he initiated and managed VCON’s IPR portfolio. In that role, Dr. Menczel defended successfully his company in several cases where allegations were brought that VCON had infringed several key patents. In addition, Dr. Menczel has written 6 patents with other people of his team. Prior to VCON, Dr. Menczel served as a consultant to Ubique which created in conjunction with VocalTec one of the first VoIP implementations that was part of an Instant Messaging application (the precursor of IBM SameTime). Prior to Ubique, Dr. Menczel served as a team leader in Comverse R&D where he led a R&D team to create messaging platform. Prior to Comverse, Dr. Menczel was a Co-Founder of Afic Computers which created the first SQL replicated database. Dr Menczel received his Ph.D. in Computer Science at Courant institute in N.Y.U and his Bachelor degree at the Technion, Israel. |
